Moonlight Snowshoe Tour

Crested Butte Mountain Torchlight Parade
The Crested Butte Ski and Snowboard School lights up the skies with a spectacular torchlight parade on the eves before Christmas and New Year's. Crested Butte is the second stop on this free-heel freeskiing race series, put on by the U.S. Telemark Ski Association (USTSA): a 3-day extreme tele contest followed by a telecross. The tour continues in Brighton, UT in mid-March and

This three-event, five-race series for J4 racers is a qualifier for the Alpine J4 Junior Olympics of the Central/Rocky Mountain Division to be held in Steamboat Springs in March. 5th Annual Elk Mountains Grand Traverse
An extreme endurance race that links Crested Butte to Aspen. At the stroke of midnight, skiers start out over a 40-mile course that takes them from the base of Mt. Crested Butte through remote wilderness terrain, across two mountain passes and finishes at Aspen Mountain. Skiers must compete in teams of two. 970-349-7133.

11th Annual SAAB U.S. Extreme Freeskiing Championships presented by Magna Bloc*
