Sunlight's rides will break your heart
   Ready for a heartstopping ride? Consider Sunlight Extreme, where the Heathen, one of the state's steepest trails, plunges more than 50 degrees to Four Mile Creek. Or you might settle for one of Sunlight Mountain Resort's many challenging runs, like the shortcut from the Segundo lift that takes you to Joslin Glades and the T-bowl.
    Located four hours (187 miles) from Fort Collins in Glenwood Springs, Sunlight's experienced instructors are dedicated to taking skiers to the next level with daily programs for skiers and riders of all abilities. Childrens programs are available for all ages. A new backcountry skills workshop is scheduled for Williams Peak and a new Afternoon Performance Clinic will emphasize skiiing/riding style and bumps.
    Vital statistics: The vertical rise is 2,010 feet with 470 skiable acres, 4 lifts and 66 trails. They claim an average showfall of 240 inches. Special facilities include a children's area, two terrain parks and a natural half-pipe. Season is December 1 to April 15.
