Wolf Creek home to U.S. Mogul Team
     Light powder snow with plenty of moguls is a great attractant, but only Wolf Creek can claim to be home of the U.S. Mogul Team. This high-alpine ski resort in Pagosa Springs, a healthy seven-hour drive (336 miles) from Fort Collins, is one of Colorado's oldest snow get-aways. The resort is located in the San Juan/Rio Grande National Forest.
    Vital statistics: The vertical rise is 1,604 feet with 1,600 skiable acres, 6 lifts and 50 trails. They claim an average snowfall of 465 inches. Special features include an ungroomed, exploratory outback area recommended for strong intermediates and expert skiers who enjoy varying conditions and adventuresome skiing. Season is early November to early April.
