Copper Mountain
is simply 'Loverly'
It's
"Loverly," it's delightful, it's Copper Mountain.
Did you know the Loverly Ski Run at Copper Mountain
got its name when former Colorado Governor John Love broke his leg skiing
it during open ceremonies in 1972?
Just one little detail you probably didn't realize about this familiar
snow resort. Located two-and-one-half hours from Fort Collins (145 miles
via I-70), that has something for all ages. With 2,400 skiable acres,
4 bowls, 21 lifts and 115 trails, there's plenty of terrain from a vertical
rise of 2,601 feet. They claim an average snowfall of 280 inches with
380 snowmaking acres. Season is mid-November to mid-April.
A free shuttle circles the village and Summit Stage provides hourly
bus service between Copper Mountain, Keystone, Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne
and Dillon.
For general information, call 1-970-968-2882, for snow
reports, call

Special facilities at Copper include a NASTAR course, kids facility,
terrain park, two half-pipes, athletic club, tubing hill and a cross-country
center. For apres-ski experts, head to Molly B's in Copper Station, where
local musicians will make you forget all those mogul bruises.
