Loveland where Colorado learns to ski
    Loveland Ski Area is two sites in one. Advanced skiers will like the aggressive terrain of Loveland Basin, while beginners will enjoy the milder slopes of Loveland Valley. Located close to home, just a two-hour drive of 115 miles, Loveland boasts a 33-year average for annual snowfall of over 400 inches.
    Loveland where many Coloradan's learn to ski. A separate base area and lift for beginners take the intimidation out of learning. The ski/snowboard special for adult newcomers includes a 2-1/2 hour lesson, all-mountain lift tick and rental package. Children's instructors are particularly trained to teach youngsters of all abilities in both skiing and snowboarding. Lessons include lift ticket, rental and lunch.
    Vital statistics: The vertical rise is 2,410 feet with 1,365 skiable acres located entirely on Arapahoe National Forest, 9 lifts and 70 trails. Special facilities include a children's learning area, race club, demo center and terrain park. Season is mid-October to mid-May. Parking is free with a shuttle between Loveland Basin and Loveland Valley.
